Angela holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Indiana University. She also is a Certified Mindfulness and Meditation Instructor and MMI Mindful® Trainer from the McLean Meditation Institute. Angela is passionate about meditation and teaching a blend of techniques rooted in ancient wisdom combined with modern science.
Through her own meditation practice, Angela has experienced many of the benefits of meditation and mindfulness including reduced stress levels, alleviation of depression, reduced anxiety, and increased self-compassion and self-acceptance. Meditation has changed her life and she is overall a happier, more peaceful person living a mindful life full of intention, purpose, and joy. Because of this, Angela became a meditation teacher to share the benefits.
Angela understands that everyone has their own unique path to self-transformation through meditation and is dedicated to teaching, encouraging and supporting anyone curious about meditation or who have the desire to develop their own practice.
Angela is the founder of State of Bliss Meditation Studio where she teaches classes, workshops, and retreats. Shea can teach at your location for any group, organization, corporation, or school.
